Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
If you've ever wanted to purchase a robot vacuum, now's your chance. CNET's top-rated models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with savings of up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping, with apps-based no-go zones. its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also automatically refills and self-empties its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its biggest advancement is an obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste many other robots are unable to avoid (and often plough right through). It's the first robot to send you pictures of the objects that it encounters, so you can instruct the robot to avoid it.
The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop that we have ever tested. It removes dirt and spills effortlessly, leaving no trace that it was there. It's simple to control via the iRobot Home app, which lets you schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't vacuum areas you do not want it to. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can start and stop it using your voice.
Its design is superior to the rest and features a sleek, top piece that looks more like a toy rather than a loud, loud one. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying and is ideal to reduce the time spent cleaning.
In our tests, we observed that the j7+ quickly took away dirt, dust, and hair from pets. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in one spot rather than sending it scattering all over the floor. It was able to capture sand, small gravel and even a tiny bit of grit. Most robots could not achieve this feat. It did this without getting tangled in our pet's hair.
The j7+, while not as smart as the $1,217 Roomba S9and Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and it isn't able to clean the stairs, is an option for those who require both mopping and a vacuum. It's not expensive, and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates, and it is sometimes difficult to know if they are working until you actually see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking to purchase an
automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, the best option is probably hybrid. This type of robot typically includes a built-in water tank that allows them to mop and vacuum your home simultaneously. They also come with various additional features such as smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. They're costly at full retail but often are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock is one of our favorite robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. It's their cheapest auto-empty model. While it lacks certain features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great option if you're willing compromise a bit in order to save hundreds of dollars.
The Q5+ is extremely gentle when it comes down to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it an excellent option for homes with many furniture pieces. It's also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is a area where many robot vacuums that are less expensive fall short. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is fantastic as well, with only a few missed corners and along walls.
Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled by the buttons on the device or through the Roborock app. Through the app, you can begin and stop cleanings or schedules, establish virtual barriers and no-go zones and alter your home map or re-label rooms.
If you choose to purchase the Q5+ model, it ships with a new auto-empty dock specifically designed to make the machine easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once it's installed, emptying the bin can be done easily. It also comes with a large LCD display that is great to have when you're setting up schedules or altering settings. This feature isn't necessary for everyone, however it can help you to keep the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a smart, well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design is among the most innovative in the market however it's quite expensive.
The base station looks nice and hides it when not in use, and its size is quite compact. The station's main selling point is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, functions, and chores that other robots have to leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot clean and charged.
Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive, too. It's the only robovacs that I've tested that do a really good job of collecting debris from bare floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially in the area of navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, meaning it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain areas of your home. It's also not able to climb stairs as well as other models and doesn't come with a dock that can create a clean zone for carpets with plush padding.
While it doesn't offer as many in terms of cleaning options available in its app or as many in-app shortcuts like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for a comprehensive mop and robot vacuum that's worth the premium price price.
But if you want to save some money, or just don't care about the limitations of this robotic, there are plenty of alternatives available with a wide range of eufy models for considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for instance, is cheaper and has more features, such as stairs and a fully-function Dock, with an improved overall experience when vacuuming on floors that are unfinished carpets with low pile as well as high-pile ones.
4. eufy RoboVac g30
Eufy, a Anker company has a proven track record of creating robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning of hard floors as well as mopping, carpets and other surfaces at an affordable price point. It's simple to set up, simply attach one of the side brush and turn it on, then connect your charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps required to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock will need to be placed near an outlet and have plenty of room to move.
The G30 is a compact device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, which means it will fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. Its design is more subtle compared to some rival models. It features a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral fashion over two minutes) Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.
The way in which the G30 cleans is what separates it from its competitors. It makes use of an integrated map to create an image of the immovable items in its path. It keeps track of the things it has cleaned and where it cannot access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning the area it left.
The elegant G30 has its flaws, though. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower recurring costs. It charges faster, offers the same battery life and is more effective on bare flooring or carpet with a low pile. It has a larger dust bin, which does not require as much emptying. It also comes with boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't need emptying as often and it struggles less with bulky material like cereal.
